Marble Primary Bath

A primary bathroom with no external wall and no daylight. The owners had been told repeatedly that a window was impossible.

It was — but a roof light was not. We opened the ceiling into the loft void above and dropped a light shaft directly over the bath. The room is finished in one slab of stone, cut and book-matched so the veining runs continuously from floor to wall.

Six weeks, including the roof works. The room reads twice its size, and the heating bill fell because the underfloor system replaced two inefficient radiators.
